JOIN ME IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
My name is Melisa Faralyali, and I am originally from Türkiye. I am currently a Grade 12 student at the American School in London in the UK. Over the years, I have developed a strong interest in international relations, diplomacy, and international business, fields that shape how nations interact and influence one another in an increasingly interconnected world.
This blog project grew out of my passion for exploring how Türkiye, my home country, is evolving on the global stage. As a young person who hopes to pursue studies in international relations, I wanted to create a platform where I could reflect on Türkiye’s growing diplomatic and economic presence, not just through facts and policies, but also through insights and thought pieces inspired by Turkish leaders themselves.
The purpose of this series is to provide readers, whether students like me or those curious about Türkiye’s role in world affairs, with a deeper look at how national decisions and cross-border partnerships are shaping the future. Writing these blogs allows me to connect academic interests with personal identity, while also sharing a perspective that blends both lived experience and global outlook.
